I hate theatre. I really hate theatre. But I'm intrigued by your marketing. Did I mention I hate theatre. Convince me to come see you!

I hate theatre too :-) . To differentiate myself from all other actors, I will tell you that I do my thing on “THE STAGE”. I also hate the word “play”. I don’t do plays, I help make “STAGE MOVIES” (a term I coined), with fellow actors. What is a STAGE MOVIE? Here is how I like to describe it: it is a live performance on stage that is as good as or better than anything you will see on TV or film.

I'm still not convinced Michael.

I know that there is a strong likelihood that you have had a negative experience in the theatre, or have never been because it just didn’t seem to suit your tastes. I am asking you to overlook those feelings and venture out to see some high quality work. I know that it is a “risk” to go see something that the majority of the times turns out corny. But I make it absolutely RISK FREE for you. Sign up on my list, get my Money Back Guarantee, come see the show, and be happy! This is my livelihood. I don’t do this for free. You must pay to see me, but I am saying it will be worth it.

What makes you so special?

There is nothing “special” about me. I have just developed a skill set that allows me to create entertaining, bold, and believable characters. The way I think about it is like this: if a person goes to school to be a doctor, when they finish they are basically a doctor. When a person goes to school to become a lawyer, once they graduate they are basically a lawyer. Same with engineers, plumbers, accounts, etc. The fact of the matter is, when these people start practicing their profession, we expect a certain level of ability, aptitude and for them to deliver on a consistent basis.

I have a Masters of Fine Arts in acting which is the highest degree one can get in acting. I have the ability and the aptitude. If any of you have read Malcolm Gladwell (a prominent journalist and author) he states that for any individual to master their craft (whether it be a musician, an athlete, etc) and be at the top of their field, they need to have at least 10,000 hours of practice/performance under their belt. I have over 13,000 hours.

Look. Your ego is HUGE. I have never heard of an actor offering a money back guarantee. If I come see your show, I will pop your ego. I'm just saying.

I like your attitude. Look. I have dedicated my life to bringing my craft alive on the stage. It is my responsibility to accept judgment. That is what art is produced for, to evoke a reaction from its audience. I welcome your judgement, just please don’t be an asshole about it, if you decide you find me a fraud.

Okay wait. You say you do your work on -THE STAGE- and you say that you help create live STAGE MOVIES. Exactly what the hell does that mean?

Since you are being blunt I feel I should be straight up with you. When I say I do my work on “THE STAGE”, it is because I want to distance myself from the term “theatre”. Why would I want to do that? Because ask the majority of Americans what they think about theatre and you will get some people who gag, some who actually throw up, and others who will laugh at you then walk away calling you an idiot :-) . The fact is, most people consider theatre CORNY. I don’t do corny shit.

STAGE MOVIE is a term I have coined because when you come see me on stage, you are going to see material that is as good as or better than what you may see on TV or film. Ask the average American how they fell about going to see “plays” and the majority of them will tell you it is embarrassing telling their friends and family that they are going to see a “play”. The word “play” just feels icky. It feels corny. It feels embarrassing to say. Ain’t no need to feel embarrassed when you come see Michael on “THE STAGE” performing in his “STAGE MOVIES”

How can you offer a money back guarantee for something as subjective as art?

Yeah this is a tough one. I don’t expect everyone to love what I do. But I believe in offering real value to people who come see me. If you don’t believe the character I created was entertaining, bold and believable, then I give you every right to ask for and receive your money back (as long as you buy a ticket from this site). I leave it to you to make that judgement. I will ask you to give me a video or written testimonial :-) even though it may not be to my advantage, but I want to make sure that I can improve in future endeavors.

'ART IS NOT A PRODUCT GODDAMMIT!' you say emphatically.

Yes it is. The purists will say that art is not a product, but they are living in an old, very old, mentality. Okay, so it is not a product like a lamp that you can return. It is more like a service and there are plenty of services that offer a money back guarantee. The fact of the matter is, you will be more likely to come see me perform, more than once, even if you have found some of my performances not to your liking. Why? Because there is no risk to you to come see me. Your money is hard earned and I know you don’t want to spend it on some B.S. I am sure that you want value for the money you spend. That is what I like to think I provide to you. Value. And some damn entertaining characters on the stage.

'But Im not gay!', you exclaim!

I get this a lot. Mainly from dudes. And I understand the stigma attached to theatre being only for gay people. But let me tell you IT IS NOT. I can’t tell you how many times I have had wives bring their husbands to see me. Before the show I would get a chance to talk with the couple, and the dude would always be like, embarrassed to be there. They wouldn’t look me in the eyes. They would just feel plain uncomfortable. BUT after the show the majority of them wanted to be my best friend, and left with a smile on their face, happy they came. And gentleman, let me tell you, bring your lady to see a stage movie I help create, and there is a damn good chance you will be getting [bleeped] that night. I’m just saying.
The only actor in the nation to offer a money back guarantee for his performances on stage.
