Agents and managers, if you don’t grab this actor now, you will hate yourself later
Actors are $0.11 a dozen, but every once in a while you come across that ONE that completes the dozen. The one that stands out from the rest. The one who delivers results and makes you proud to be a “business partner” with that actor. But of course, in your profession, you come across thousands of wanna be’s everyday. You are inundated with solicitations, of every body thinking they are going to be the next big thing if they could only get on your roster.

I don’t need you, but that should not keep you from reading on. In fact that should make you happy
I am not one of those actors who believes my dreams will come true, if only I could get an agent to go out and “get me auditions”. I am not one of those actors who believes my dreams will come true, if only I could get a manager who will bust their ass for me and work as if I am their only client. In fact, in general, I am not a needy person. Success is mine. And I know that it is primarily I who will determine the magnitude of my success.

I may not be needy but I do have a need. Those two things are not to be confused
You see, although I have a clear vision of my path to success and although I am willing to work a dozen hours+ (even when I am not in a production) towards achieving my goals, I still need help. And that is where you come in. I have some big goals I want to achieve. In fact, if most people where to see the goals I have outlined in my actor business plan, most of them would say that “his reach exceeds his grasp”. Luckily I don’t believe that and, in fact, to all those who think that my reach exceeds my grasp, I say to you, “your reach exceeds your nerve!” I am audacious. In fact I have the URL TheAudacityOfAnArtist.com that leads to this site. What makes me audacious? I thought you would never ask!

But first…Should you even really care about the staggering proclamations I’m about to tell you?
Of course you shouldn’t care. You don’t know me yet. BUT I’m sure you are curious. And curiosity is all we need, which is that first step forward in creating a profitable, dare I say it, lucrative relationship. So all I’m asking of you, for the moment, is to take one step forward with me as I give you…
5 reasons why it would have paid you BIG TIME to sign me yesterday, but it’s not too late
Before we get started with the reasoning, I feel it’s important for you to know that I’m an artist, as pretentious as that sounds. I have an M.F.A. in acting and you all know that M.F.A. stands for Masters of Fine Arts. But my secret tattoo of M.F.A. says it stands for Mutha Fuckin Artist. I also believe that the business side of show business is more important than the artistic side believe it or not. But that’s because I seek fame and fortune as well as believing that there is “art in business”. (But please don’t try and use that against me because my artistic strength is strong.) I am an ActorPreneur and I present you now with…
My 5 USP’s (Unique Selling Propositions)
- #1 I create, sculpt and deliver signature character pieces for the stage that are entertaining, bold and believable.
- #2 I create characters, for the stage, that are as good as or better than what you may see on TV or film.
- #3 I offer a comprehensive marketing strategy designed to put the butts of the elusive 40 and under crowd as well as the non traditional theatre goer in your theatre while capturing their pertinent information so that you market and profit from them for your subsequent productions.
- #4 I don’t do “theatre”. I do my work on “THE STAGE”. I don’t do “plays”. I take plays and help turn them into “STAGE MOVIES”. No corniness
- #5 I am the only actor, in the nation, to offer a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE for my performances on stage.

Time is limited and the opportunity…RARE. Seeking to interview those who thrive on calculated risks, otherwise I don’t want to hear from you
We all know that I can only have 1 or 2 agents. We all know I can only have 1 manager. We all know that I can only have 1 PR rep and 1 Social media rep. Are you $0.11 a dozen? If so DO NOT CONTACT ME! I don’t want to work with you. But if you are that rare individual that completes the dozen, contact me sooner than later. We have business to take care of, goals to achieve, and international recognition to garner.
Contact me. No Regrets. Only Business Success!

A go-getter:
aka, a self started (you MUST love the idea of blazing your own trail, creating a lasting legacy)2
Be motivated by RESPECT
and the love of what you do. If you are first and foremost motivated by money/financial gain, we are probably not a good fit. Please understand, I will make money and lots of it, but the idea of making money is not something that sustains me. My belief is that money is a by-product of delivering excellence. I have a deep seated need to be HIGHLY R.E.S.P.E.C.T.ed in my field. That drives me, more so than the pursuit of money. (P.S. you can love making money, but if it defines you, let’s just say goodbye already3
Intrigued / accustomed to
dealing with and/or creating a bit of controvery. Not outrageous antics for attentions sake though.4
Strong sense of self-responsibility:
If you like to blame other people or other things for situations that do or do not happen in your life, you WILL tire of me. And I WILL tire of you.5
Creative:
As trite as that may sound, I consider someone who is creative a person who knows the rules/regulations of a system, innately, and knows how to bend them. I’m not looking for someone who knows how to break them (that’s criminal). Another way I like to think of creativity is in relation to innovation: Creative innovation is the ability to see and take original concepts/ideas/designs for what they are and thru imagination, define one’s own relationship to those predefined concepts/ideas/ designs, then apply one’s own experience to those to come up with something new or something that expands on the original to give it a whole new “flavor”.6
A sense of what it means to be humble.
And being humble does not mean one cannot be confident. If you feel you must always talk about your achievements, or must always put people down to “lift” yourself up…GOOD BYE7
Ruthless improvement:
on self, product, and systems (of efficacy, of deployment, of customer satisfaction, etc.)8
Passionate as hell.
No. Wait. I take that back. Passionate as fuck! About what you do. I’m sure I need not elaborate.MORE SPECIFICS
I am looking for open and honest communication. I know you have a lot of clients but there WILL be times when I would like to have a conversation with you. Luckily I am a “to the point person” so I wouldn’t need ample amounts of time with you. You are busy. I know.
Just as you would expect an actor (your client) to constantly be refining her craft, I expect that you, as my agent, would be refining your craft. So while you can tell actors to take classes, get into showcases, do theatre, network, etc, I expect you to be able to tell me what you do to keep you and your business in tip top shape.
You must have visionary tendencies. That means you have a strong imagination, trust your insights, are bold and then, many times, walk in faith (which is tough in this industry because faith requires one to see with their spirit, not with their eyes. And in this industry, much is focused on visual perceptions). I consider those with visionary tendencies to be very spiritual. This is fuckin sexy to me.

You must be willing to deviate from the norm. I know there are industry standards (ex. “the way” to write a press release) but there may be times I want some creative flair. I won’t require this all the time, but occasionally I will, and if you feel this violates what it means to be a Public Relations Rep, I’m not for you.
Please be a good ass listener. What does that mean? Hear what I have to say. Accept what I have to say. Then put your own personal flair on top of that. In other words, lets collab.
